A Week In My Purse – Day 2: Cargo blu_ray Concealer

16 Apr

Day 2 in my series brings you my favorite go-to concealer: Cargo blu-ray Concealer.

Now and then – admittedly, not often – I dash out of the house, head to an appointment, check my face, and – GASP. I forgot to put on makeup. And I look like a very scary, very tired zombie. I don’t carry my whole makeup kit in my purse, so I need something that will spot conceal like a mother as well as hide those unsightly suitcases under my eyes. This little beauty does both.

Other times, after a long night of dancing and drinking, I use the restroom, stop to wash my hands, catch myself in the mirror and HOLY JESUS WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. I did NOT look like that when I left my house. Have I sweated off all my makeup and also grown a zit in the middle of my forehead in the space of four hours? And is that a rash or lipstick on my chin? No matter. Whip out Cargo’s blu_ray and problemS solved.

It works, yes, but that’s not the only reason I carry it in my purse at all times – it’s the absolutely perfect purse packaging. The slim tube has a twist up design with a unique, angled foam-tip applicator. Numerous holes in the tip release just the right amount of concealer – one click gives you a tiny bit, two a tiny bit more, etc. Any excess is absorbed into the foam for a perfectly “no muss, no fuss” application. Also, although this may disgust some of you, I think I’ve been using the same one for going on two years – since it’s not an every day item, it has lasted FOREVER and is still in great condition, and the concealer hasn’t separated or gotten weird.

If you’re looking for an all-in-one, do-it-all, carry-it-everywhere concealer, I couldn’t recommend anything more highly.
