A Week In My Purse – Day 4: Advil Liqui-Gels & Pepto-Bismol Tablets

19 Apr

Sorry for the delay! I’m gonna post two blogs now for the price of one!

Until now, I have been listing cosmetic products I don’t leave home without, but that’s not all I’m about. I’m also about headaches and stomach trouble! No, wait, that’s…. Okay moving on.

I always always always carry a little bottle of Advil Liqui-Gels in my purse, and they have saved my booty on more than one occasion. From cramps to headaches to minor injuries to morning-after hangovers, Advil always does the trick. What’s better than having them for myself though is being able to offer them to my husband and friends when they’re not feeling so hot and saving the day. Super Kate! And if the little plastic bottle doesn’t do it for you, head over to eBay and pick up a cute antique pill case to carry a handful in.

Pepto-Bismol chewable tablets are my other go-to medical purse staple. Have you seen the commercial? “Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea – hey! Pepto Bismol!” That’s pretty much EVERY STOMACH AILMENT KNOWN TO MAN. I mean it can’t cure IBS or Crohns but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time! Seriously though, Pepto works great, tastes okay, and you can take it, like, every half an hour. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been hit by nausea outta nowhere and the little pink pills in my purse have come to the rescue.

So there you have it – two meds I think every lady should keep on hand, and that yours truly doesn’t leave home without.
